My work is inspired by modernist architecture, mid-century modern interiors, crisp Scandi style, and the natural materials I work with. The aim is to produce functional and stylish pieces that compliment your home in a unique way. My pieces are handmade, and made to last, using traditional joinery techniques proven by centuries of woodworkers. Most items are made to order, so the design, dimensions and materials can be adapted to your wishes.

My workshop is in Turku, Finland. Deliveries in the area are easily arranged. For orders from further afield, packaging and shipping can be arranged at your expense. For larger items, this may include building a crate.

I mainly use hand tools (for example saws, chisels, and planes). There is immense satisfaction to be had in cutting a perfectly fitting joint by hand, or planing a surface mirror smooth. This can’t be matched by pushing wood through a machine. Furthermore, hand tools are quieter, cleaner, smaller, and safer than power tools. Hand tools tend to stop when they hit bone. Of course there is a place for some power tools. For some repetitive jobs, power tools are used for efficiency and consistency. With this approach, you can be sure that your piece is unique and every surface, including those that will never be seen, have been carefully refined by a human being who cares.
